An impressionist beach painting of colorful beach umbrellas at popular Venice Beach, CA. Venice Beach in Los Angeles, California is one of the most visited beaches in United States. It is known for is canals, beaches and its circus-like promenade walk. It was founded in 1905 by Abbot Kinney as a beach resort town. At that time several miles of canals were dug to drain the marshes. Venice Beach is very popular today for its Board Walk and also for the surrounding areas of Santa Monica, Marina Del Rey, West Los Angeles and the very famous Beverly Hills.

In this busy and brightly colored beach scene, there are people relaxing, strolling and swimming on a perfect summer day. This colorful beach artwork was loosely painted with a palette knife and brushes for a nice thick texture. A seascape painting which is sure to be a colorful reminder of happy summer days at California beaches. Matching coastal pillows and beach bags are available.
