Description

An impressionist seascape oil painting of Pacific Beach in San Diego. San Diego is a large city in California on the Pacific Ocean coast,120 miles south of Los Angeles.
The beaches of San Diego are long continuous beaches and are well known for their 70 miles of beautiful beaches, sunshine, surfing and perfect temperatures year round. These lovely beaches are superb for surfers, families and dogs and beach sports like volleyball.
There is Mission Beach which has 2 miles of sandy coastline, a boardwalk, where you can ride the roller coaster or play volleyball. Coronado Beach with its perfect weather, has a beautiful wide beach which is great for families. La Jolla has a large grassy area, Kellogg Park, which is a popular spot for picnics. Pacific Beach, the most popular beach in San Diego, is known as The Strand and stretches for 2 miles. Imperial Beach is where the US Open Sandcastle competition is held, and is popular for swimming and surfing. Silver Strand has oceanfront RV camping, kayaking, surfing, water skiing, volleyball and boating. Ocean Beach (which is dog friendly), Solana Beach, Windansea Beach and Tourmaline Surfing Park are other San Diego beaches.
