Description
This is an impressionist oil painting of a koala, which is native to Australia. It is small and similar to a bear, lives in a eucalyptus tree and survives on gum leaves. There are about 10 varieties of eucalypts which they prefer and will eat approximately 200-500 grams of leaves a day. Koalas sleep up to 18 hours per day to conserve energy. They have a thick woolly fur (from light grey to brown) to protect them from high and low temperatures. They are nocturnal mammals and are found in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia.
The happy Koala was painted with a palette knife for a nice woolly texture. Fun and colorful animal painting for nursery decor, girl's room or boy's room.
